This is a project about stereotypes and how they affect women. Women are told from a young age to be cautious wherever they go. There is always the risk of being attacked, and that is the harsh reality women grow up with. Stereotyping is one way women protect themselves; it can help them avoid dangerous situations. I created this design to help remind women that they can fight back. This design is also inspired by a video game series called Legend of Zelda; which is where I obtained the phrase "It's dangerous to go alone! Take this." This phrase is used in a key part of the game where the hero obtains the most powerful weapon to fight off evil. I want women to know they have the power to defend themselves and that there are many tools to do so.
